Mystery Fiction With A Supernatural Twist

Issue #4 of Nossa Morte has gone live.

The contract is signed, the bio is written, and both have been sent back to Nossa Morte. Now I just have to wait until August to see the story go up.

I got the contract from Nossa Morte for "Still Life" today, along with a request for a bio and an address where they can send payment. The contract is long and complicated, but since it’s the first one I’ve ever had to sign, it’s also quite cool. The fact that I’m getting paid for this – also a first – is even cooler.

To get this blog off the ground I was going to write some silly introduction in which I tried to appear all cool and witty, but the fact is, I’m kind of a dork, and if you were to ask my friends to finish this sentence – "You’re such a …" – about me, wit would not be the word they would use to do it.

So, instead, I’ll simply say that "Still Life", a short story I wrote recently, has been accepted to an online magazine called Nossa Morte . I don’t know all the particulars yet, but I’ll post a link to the story when it goes up.
